Day 1 in Baltimore: Business of making a better world

It’s the first day of the 2012 Net Impact conference in Baltimore, and we’ve barely scratched the surface.

Our part of the conference started with the chapter leader session, meeting with the leaders of the 300+ Net Impact chapters from around the country and around the world. One of the great things about Net Impact is that it’s not just a Quinlan organization, it’s an everywhere organization. Meeting with leaders from Notre Dame, American University, Monterey and UMass gave us a chance to share our unique perspective and our common problems.

What’s important about getting connected and staying connected is that building business for a better world is a group project. Making lasting change is not something you can do by yourself.

Change takes time and it takes people working together. Our keynote addresses from Wendy Kopp and Freeman Hrabowski III hit this point home.
Unfortunately we don’t have their keynotes to share, but here is a taste of Freeman’s story:
